Quality AssuranceR.S.T. has been actively working with Quality assurance systems for many years. ISO 9000 is the standard that many companies are now achieving. R.S.T. has helped a number of companies on the route to accreditation.
Facts about ISO 9000
If a company is accredited to ISO 9000 it does NOT mean they produce quality products or services. ISO 9000 provides a quality frame work where tasks and processes are carried out in a consistent manner. If a company produces a poor Product or Service ISO 9000 only guarantees it will be consistently poor. A company must build on the basic ISO 9000 frame work and aim for Total Quality Management (TQM)
There are three forms of ISO 9000
ISO9001 - A company that designs, manufactures and provides services.
ISO 9002 - A company that manufactures and provides services.
ISO9003 - A company that provides services.
The Future of ISO 9000
ISO 9000/2000 - the standard is being up dated this year and the first drafts are now available.
